Energy reporting service provider

An energy reporting service provider needed to control the shipment real-time and facilitate the Bill of Lading (BoL) documentation for moving hazardous waste. Timeliness of shipment and accuracy of the BoL had developed into an error-prone and manpower-intensive process that was growing exponentially. While they had been early adopter users of GPS-enabled vehicles and data collection services, they could not quickly finalize a working system that incorporated the various regulatory compliance regulations and documentation development requirements.

The client advised the Prio team of the situation and the challenge to improve the vehicle data gathering and build a more effective BoL documentation system.

The Prio team went to work with the client to develop a complete approach to understanding the client shipping experience. Discovering many vehicle sensor challenges, the team refined the data acquisition system to acceptable performance levels. The team also adapted the client’s manual tracking of BoL’s into a new automated analysis and comprehensive documentation support system that enabled the client to grow exponentially while conserving support staff.

The progression to success took the team only 12 weeks and delivered a production logistics tracking system that exceeded the customer’s expectations. The solution was delivered on a SaaS basis and the client was able to grow the market without significant system development costs.
